Hallelujah, Redux, Redux (#DreamHillaryDreams)

I just noticed that right after the last season of Saturday Night Live ended, I wrote:

We may not survive our current situation, but we have, for the most part, weathered the storm so far.
Let's stay strong and continue to resist, and hopefully by the time next season starts (Season 342?), we won't care about it because we'll have solved this.

We haven't; he's still here to start Season 343:

and though we have held up in a lot of ways -- for one, the ACA is basically intact:

this week was pretty disastrous if it all holds...

  • We're on the verge of losing a U.S. territory:

There's also a new Muslim Ban.

Additionally health insurance is about to lapse for 9 million American children:

Congress just allowed the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which provided low-cost health insurance to 9 million children, to expire.
If action is not taken soon to restore the funding, the effects will become obvious in schools across the country, with many of the children in the program unable to see a doctor for routine checkups, immunizations, visits when sick and other services.

We're getting into some pretty bad territory.

On the other hand, the last thing I wrote in that post was, "Hillary, thanks for sticking with us. It really means something that you're getting back out there."

I finished her book yesterday, and it was superlative. We need more of her. In the last two weeks, we've had two data points indicating that something might be in the ether about invalidating the election and potentially putting her in office due to #TrumpRussia. One, from Hillary herself:

But in an interview Monday with NPR's Terry Gross, Clinton raised that critique up a notch -- not only questioning the legitimacy of Trump's presidency but refusing to rule out the possibility of contesting the results if Russian collusion is proven by special counsel Bob Mueller.
Here's the full text of the back-and-forth, courtesy of CNN's Dan Merica:
Gross: I want to get back to the question, would you completely rule out questioning the legitimacy of this election if we learn that the Russian interference in the election is even deeper than we know now?
Clinton: No. I would not. I would say --
Gross: You're not going to rule it out?
Clinton: No, I wouldn't rule it out.

The other is from former DNI James Clapper:

Well, we can hope that Saturday Night Live Season 344 opens with Kate McKinnon in the Oval Office! Until then, I encourage you all to #DreamHillaryDreams
