Just one quick thought on Rachel Maddow's release of two pages of Trump's 1040.
It didn't show much; but why did Rachel have it? Those pages don't fall into David Cay Johnston's mailbox by accident, and there's no reason that someone would have just the first two pages and not more than that. Either:
-Trump and his camp released them themselves to distract from something -- either Russia or their potential destruction of the American health insurance system, or
-Someone was putting them out as some form of "appetizer," either to tease the media or with the aim of sharing more..
I can't think of a third reason.
