How Has This Post Aged?

I just found this on my Facebook feed from August 12th:

"You're gonna send the Congressman to see me in Washington. He's gonna say 'Mr. President, we have to do something. The people of Pennsylvania, and in particular our friends in Erie, are sick and tired of winning. They can't stand winning so much. Mr. President, we just don't want to win that much. We really want to give other nations like it used to be where it's good for them and bad for us, at least a little bit.' And I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, "Mr. Congressman, I don't think you know your people very well. They wanna win. And we wanna win. And you wanna win. And we're gonna win. We're gonna win so much.'"
That's a real quote from a Presidential nominee in 2016. Yup.

Ari, this was so much easier to mock back then...

UPDATE (4/17/2017. 4:13 PM): From Josh Marshall:

Word out of South Korea and Northeast Asia generally is that people in the region are seeing all the Trump winning and are getting sick of all the winning. The AP reports that Trump is finding Asian allies cool to a preemptive strike and The Washington Post Tokyo bureau chief last night suggested on Twitter that people in the region are more worried about rash action from President Trump than North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, which is really quite an achievement if you think about it.

So Trump was kind of right; he was just off by about 7000 miles...
