The Daily Combover - April 4, 2017

Twitter was abuzz this morning following the Sarin gas strike in Syria that claimed the lives of at least 100 civilians and sent hundreds more to local hospitals.
The terror campaign being carried out by Bashar Assad against civilians in rebel-held territories appears to be ratcheting up.  Assad draws direct support from Putin, and may have even received the Sarin itself from Russian sources.  With Putin pulling Trump's strings, Trump held back from directly condemning Assad for the atrocity.

Instead, Trump made sure we all knew who the real culprit was: former President Barack Obama. #ThanksObama:
Today’s chemical attack in Syria against innocent people, including women and children, is reprehensible and cannot be ignored by the civilized world. These heinous actions by the Bashar al-Assad regime are a consequence of the past administration’s weakness and irresolution. President Obama said in 2012 that he would establish a “red line” against the use of chemical weapons and then did nothing. The United States stands with our allies across the globe to condemn this intolerable attack.
It's quite true that President Obama laid down a red line and it's also very true that the United States failed to intervene in Syria. But recall that the power to declare war rests with Congress. And when President Obama called on Congress to fulfill their duties, he was met with the Sound of Silence.
But it wasn't just Congress who said no.  Trump, himself offered a series of rebukes:

I'll let his words speak for themselves.

Catch you on the flip side.

  1. My favorite part is that the eventual "President" responded to someone named @BigSexyBDAris...
