It's pretty clear that Trump was lost out there yesterday. He had no idea how to answer any of the questions he was asked, rambled on about his campaigning, nuclear war, Hillary Clinton, Jews, and other things that clearly have been renting space in his brain for the last 18 months. About the only coherent message he delivered was that he was going to war against the media. Of course not everyone saw the shitstorm for what it was:
Trump has embraced lunatics like Alex Jones, Jerome Corsi, and Chuck Johnson to name a few, while relentlessly lashing out at the media. The extent to which he's been attacking them is, to use his word, unpresidented. During the campaign he turned his supporters on the media causing many to fear for their lives. He locked up cameramen in place and then yelled at them to turn around. He often urged supporters to chant, "CNN Sucks," and in one rally urged his supporters to harass Katy Tur.Thank you for all of the nice statements on the Press Conference yesterday. Rush Limbaugh said one of greatest ever. Fake media not happy!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 17, 2017
So today, when Trump Tweeted this, he's just taking it one step further:
And this step means we're moving into Putin territory now.The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 17, 2017
Catch you on the flip side.
