Remember that time when two major hurricanes struck a large Southern city because of the "homosexual parade" that Pastor Hagee was practically begging the LGBT community to call off? Someone better get Hagee on the phone because Snowpocalypse has descended on the Northeast stretching from metropolitan DC all the way up through the Boston metro. I wonder what caused this one. Maybe it was those damned judges who are standing in the way of ethnic purity the Muslim Ban extreme vetting (TM Mountain Dew).
Since the Northeast Corridor is home to nearly 40% of the US population I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you've all probably seen this dog and pony show before, but let's recap:
Trump knew he'd have to beat out the snow if he was going to make it to the salon to get his fontange done in time so we were treated to an early response to Senator Blumenthal's surprise finding that Judge Gorsuch disagreed with Trump on the Muslim Ban. Apparently we've found the difference between fascism and the religious right.
We all know that Trump doesn't put up with dissent but we also know that he doesn't like being embarrassed. So which one would be dominant in his response? Easy peasy. There's nothing Trump dislikes more than being embarrassed. So rather than having to recall his SCOTUS nominee, Trump lashed out against Senator Blumenthal:
SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2017

Some of you may remember something that makes this a very strange attack. For the rest of you, here's a hint: Bone Spurs. Like most bullies, he was as much of a coward then as he is today.Sen.Richard Blumenthal, who never fought in Vietnam when he said for years he had (major lie),now misrepresents what Judge Gorsuch told him?— Donald J. The next story on Fox News must have been about McCain because Trump went off on McCain next:
Sen. McCain should not be talking about the success or failure of a mission to the media. Only emboldens the enemy! He's been losing so....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2017
...long he doesn't know how to win anymore, just look at the mess our country is in - bogged down in conflict all over the place. Our hero..
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2017
And to all this, one response really sums it up best: no, you killed him...Ryan died on a winning mission ( according to General Mattis), not a "failure." Time for the U.S. to get smart and start winning again!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2017
There is no beating around the bush here. That Yemen raid was such as disaster that the government of Yemen revoked the US military's privileges there.
So why are they calling it a success? As we learned during the Bush Administration, if the Republicans repeat the same lie over and over again, it becomes the truth. Who came up with that? Oh right. Joseph Goebbels.
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.Fascism isn't a new thing to the Republican party. It's just that they're no longer afraid of openly embracing it.
Our other major story of the day is that the #BoycottTrump campaign has clearly rattled the Trump Regime. Trump was blasted for his attacks against Nordstrom so he sent Don Jr. out to defend his crush daughter, and then had Kellyanne Conway run an infomercial on Fox and Friends. Some ethics violations are too big to ignore and even Jason Chaffetz took off his blindfold for a few seconds to condemn it.
But good on Don Jr. for worrying about Nordstrom's business. Usually he's more concerned about self-promoting the family grift operation.I'm sure Nordstrom executives are having trouble sleeping over the six customers they will lose. #boycotttrump https://t.co/eq9Ovommaq— Daily Combover (@tgcCombover) February 9, 2017
Sleep well America. But get ready for a major push against Tom Price. Remind your Senators that The Price is Wrong.
